The FAL, a French acronym for Fusil Automatique L?ger (English: "Light Automatic Rifle"), is a battle rifle designed in Belgium by Dieudonn? Saive and manufactured by FN Herstal (simply known as FN).
During the Cold War the FAL was adopted by many countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), with the notable exception of the United States. It is one of the most widely used rifles in history, having been used by more than 90 countries. It is chambered in 7.62?51mm NATO (although originally designed for the intermediate .280 British). The British Commonwealth variant of the FAL was redesigned from FN's metrical FAL into British imperial units and was produced under licence as the L1A1 Self-Loading Rifle.

This Airsoft Version FAL Standard Type I GBB Rifle is a faithful replica of the Right Arm of the Free World and it is also the first ever GBB Gas Blow Back FAL style rifle, not to mention that the FAL is also quite rare as an AEG. Which is odd seeing that the H&K G3 and its variants, which exists in a similar timeline but less prominent in the real steel world is much more prominent in airsoft with Tokyo Marui and LCT releasing a lot of AEGs and Umarex with the H&K Licensed G3A3 and PSG-1 Gas Airsoft Guns.
