However, all of these airsoft replicas are not optics ready, which begs the question from most airsoft Glock enthusiasts, as Glock released the MOS (Modular Optics System) back in 2015, which allows shooters to install a variety of different optics with different footprints on real steel Glock pistols.
Well, that dream is coming to fruition with Umarex (Elite Force) now pairing with GHK to create probably the most popular and newest version of Glock to receive the MOS treatment - The Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS! Other than the obvious feature of this particular airsoft pistol being optics-ready, the Umarex (Elite Force) Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS GBB Airsoft Pistol (GHK) - Cerakote Aluminum Version is dual power ready right out of the box, which means it doesn't matter if you purchase the green gas variant or the CO2 variant, as you can use either green gas or CO2 magazines interchangeably. GHK has noted that by using green gas, you will get an average FPS output of 320 FPS.
This airsoft Glock 17 Gen 5 is a replica of the MOS model and just like its real steel counterpart, it is optics-ready out of the box, and also like its real steel counterpart, it can take 4 different optics plates to accommodate different popular red dot sights and their footprints, allowing you to run almost any red dot optics that you could think of (Sold separately). The airsoft version faithfully replicates the same features externally. The pistol works on both regular green gas and CO2 depending on what magazines you pair it with and fires with a crisp, fast cycle. The added benefit of this being a product licensed by Umarex (Elite Force) and Glock is that it can also work with many other accessories designed for Glocks such as weapon lights, holsters, etc.
Being a product fully licensed by Umarex (Elite Force) and Glock, all the corresponding markings are the same as what you will find on the real firearm.
