The Silverback TAC41P represents a groundbreaking product from the renowned airsoft manufacturer Silverback, known for their award-winning SRS line of bullpup sniper rifles. This latest offering is not only Silverback's first non-bullpup airsoft sniper rifle, but it is also unique in that it is not based on any real-steel firearm design. The TAC41P is the sports version and the lightweight counterpart to the original TAC41P.
Freed from the constraints of a set form, Silverback has designed the TAC41P chassis from the ground up to embody their vision of the ideal sniper rifle. The chassis is constructed from a lightweight yet highly robust polymer material, providing a naturally ergonomic feel in the hand. The gripping surface is relatively straight, similar to that of M40-style sniper rifles, while the curved thumb rest is molded to reduce strain on the hand during extended shooting sessions.
Towards the front of the chassis, you'll find M-LOK slots positioned at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, allowing for the attachment of accessories such as camera tripods, monopods, and other screw-mounted stands. The rear portion of the rifle features an adjustable cheek riser that is highly customizable and easy to deploy. Additionally, the length of pull can be adjusted using the included spacers, enabling a personalized shouldering experience.
This innovative design approach from Silverback has resulted in a sniper rifle that is free from the constraints of traditional real-steel influences, allowing them to engineer the TAC41P to their own specifications and deliver a truly unique and groundbreaking product to the airsoft community.

Internally, the Silverback TAC41P performs nearly identically to its premium counterpart. The adjustable trigger is both tactile and robust, with the trigger group constructed from stainless steel. The operation of the bolt is smooth, as one would expect from a Silverback airsoft sniper rifle, thanks to the quality anodized 6061 T6 aluminum construction.
The cylinder is easily disassembled for cleaning and maintenance, a hallmark of Silverback's design approach. Most notably, the TAC41P shares the same 41cc air volume as the Silverback SRS A2 series, providing impressive consistency, stability, and efficiency. This, combined with the free-float barrel assembly and the highly precise, redesigned hop-up unit, allows the TAC41P to deliver pinpoint accuracy downrange. The 24mm CW barrel threading is compatible with other Silverback suppressors.
The hop-up unit retains the same TDC (Top Dead Center) design with 50 index positions, and the stock hop-up bucking is an AEG-spec 60-degree rubber, allowing for direct compatibility with standard AEG hop-up buckings.
Disassembly of the TAC41P is a straightforward process, with all the necessary tools conveniently stored within the stock under a rubberized pad. This allows for easy maintenance and customization by the user.
Lastly, the TAC41P features an impressive 48-round capacity magazine, with an internal feed ramp that captures all the BBs, preventing them from leaking out (up to 19 rounds in total). This ensures consistent and reliable performance, and the feed ramp can be emptied by pressing the release button located inside the magazine well.
