The Desert Tech MDR-X is an acronym for Micro Dynamic Rifle Extreme. This is a relatively new rifle as it was introduced in 2018 as an attempt to compete in the United States Army's Next Generation Squad Weapon Program trail to replace the standard issues US Army infantry weapons.
