Product Description:
The Kinetic MREX Modular Receiver Extension is designed to enhance
the SCAR platform by offering durability, lightweight construction, and a
sleek aesthetic. Both the 4.9 inch and 4.25 inch MK2 versions share the
same core principles of improving the rifles modularity and ergonomics.
The one-piece construction of the MREX ensures maximum durability
without a significant weight penalty, while its extended rail length in
front of the gas block provides additional space for accessory
attachments. This also improves the rifle?s balance and accommodates a
modern forward support hand position, making it more versatile and
user-friendly.
The 4.25inch MK2 version differs from the 4.9inch
primarily in its design updates and refinements. While the 4.9inch
version includes a traditional Picatinny rail at the 12 o?clock
position, the MK2 replaces this with M-Lok slots, allowing for more
versatile mounting options. These additional M-Lok slots are also
present at the 2 o?clock and 10 o?clock positions, which not only
provide new mounting locations but also act as a shield for the gas
block. This makes the MK2 better suited for users who prefer more
modularity and flexibility in accessory placement. Furthermore, the MK2
retains the step-down design forward of the front folding sight, similar
to the original MREX, but offers a shorter overall length at 4.25
inches compared to the 4.9-inch version.
In essence, the 4.9inch
version is ideal for users who prefer the traditional Picatinny rail
configuration and a slightly longer profile, while the 4.25? MK2 is
tailored for those seeking a more compact and modernized design with
expanded M-Lok compatibility. Both options maintain the signature
features of the MREX system, including durability, ergonomic
enhancements, and an improved aesthetic for the SCAR rifle.
