About Real SMG Gun
Following World War II, a nation emerged in a region where its neighbors disapproved of its existence. In order to safeguard its borders and interests, a Major named Uziel Gal developed a new weapon. His goal was to create a firearm that was more compact, cost-effective to produce using sheet metals, and ergonomically designed to facilitate intuitive reloads. Interestingly, Major Gal insisted that the gun should not bear his name. Thus, the weapon came to be known as the UZI.
The UZI, a submachine gun, was manufactured in the 1950s to replace Israel's stock of surplus SMGs from World War II. It featured an open bolt design, but its compactness surpassed that of the WW2 relics. With a telescoping bolt and a magazine housed within the pistol grip, the UZI boasted a modern and ergonomic design for its time. It was officially adopted in 1951 and was first introduced to IDF (Israel Defense Forces) special forces in 1954. Two years later, it became standard issue for all personnel. Initially, the UZI was equipped with a short, fixed wooden buttstock, and this version saw action during the 1956 Suez Campaign. Subsequent models were fitted with a folding metal stock.

About Northeast Airsoft UZI
Northeast UZI 50 CO2 Blowback Airsoft SMG, a meticulously crafted replica of the early UZIs adopted by the Israeli Defense Force in the 1950s. The "50" in the name signifies its faithful replication of the UZI from that era. Just like its West German counterpart, the Northeast MP2A1, this airsoft replica stays true to the real UZI, featuring a steel construction with a parkerized finish and high-quality polymer grips. It even includes a detachable real wood stock, mirroring the authenticity of the original firearm. The gun boasts almost identical features to the real UZI, with the bolt and charging handle remaining in place when the bolt is not fully charged. Charging the gun is only possible when the safety is disengaged and the grip safety is pressed. The only deviation from realism is that it fires 6mm BBs as an airsoft gun.
When compared to the Northeast STEN, toggling dry fire on the UZI is much simpler. You no longer need to disassemble the magazine; instead, you can easily switch the toggle on the magazine to activate dry fire or engage a last round cut-off. This convenient feature allows enthusiasts to practice dry firing at home without complications.

Furthermore, the UZI replica exhibits recoil, although our experience suggests that the recoil impulse may not be as pronounced as that of the Umarex (VFC) H&K MP5A5 gas airsoft SMG. However, the UZI delivers satisfying semi-automatic shots and a similar rate of automatic fire as the real UZI. Ultimately, this distinction becomes inconsequential as the Northeast UZI 50 stands as the first-ever full metal, full-size gas blowback airsoft UZI. It undoubtedly serves as a remarkable piece to own and collect for enthusiasts.
