Product Description:
The
vz. 61, commonly referred to as the Skorpion, is a versatile firearm
that can be categorized as a personal defense weapon, machine pistol, or
submachine gun. Regardless of its classification, we find it undeniably
cool, and if you hold a different opinion, we believe this information
might change your mind. The vz. 61 machine pistol was designed by CZ in
Czechoslovakia and was officially adopted by the Czechoslovak armed
forces in 1961, hence its name. It was primarily issued as a sidearm for
officers and non-frontline soldiers, including drivers and personnel
operating crew-served machinery.
The Skorpion possesses dimensions larger than a typical pistol but
smaller than traditional submachine guns or rifles. This unique size
allows for comfortable hip holstered carry while offering the
functionality of a select-fire small arm. This compactness enables users
to fulfill their assigned roles effectively, while also providing the
capability to swiftly employ the weapon as a submachine gun when
necessary.
The Maruzen VZ61 Scorpion GBB SMG faithfully replicates the renowned
vz. 61 Skorpion machine pistol. Although the exterior of this
gas-powered airsoft gun is made of plastic due to Japanese laws
restricting the production of full metal airsoft pistols, rest assured
that the internals, magazine, sights, barrel, and stock are constructed
from metal. Speaking of the stock, the VZ61 earned its name "Skorpion"
or "Scorpion" in English because of its top-folding design, resembling
the tail of a scorpion.
In addition to its authentic appearance, the Maruzen VZ61 Scorpion
features select-fire capabilities, providing the option to switch
between different firing modes. When firing, it delivers a snappy recoil
impulse similar to the real firearm and boasts a high rate of fire on
full auto, while remaining controllable. The Maruzen VZ61 comes with a
generous 30-round magazine capacity, allowing for an impressive
continuous burst of approximately 2.5 seconds on full auto. Yes, you
read that correctly ? this airsoft machine pistol shoots rapidly on full
auto! The hop-up can be adjusted by field stripping the gun and using
the provided Allen key to fine-tune the hop-up for more or less hop
effect.
It is important to note that the Maruzen VZ61 Scorpion is designed to
be used with HFC134a or duster gas, as it is constructed primarily of
plastic. The use of green gas or higher-pressure gases may result in
increased wear and tear on the pistol.
