About M655 Rifle
The M655 rifle is a specialized sniper rifle developed by the British military for use by the Special Air Service (SAS) during the 1980s. It was based on the Parker-Hale M82, a bolt-action rifle chambered in 7.62?51mm NATO, but was modified to meet the specific requirements of SAS operatives. The M655 featured a heavy, free-floating barrel for improved accuracy, a custom-designed stock for better ergonomics, and a high-quality telescopic sight, often a Schmidt & Bender or similar optic, to enhance long-range precision. The rifle was used in various covert operations and counter-terrorism missions, including deployments during the Falklands War and other conflicts where the SAS required a reliable, accurate, and rugged sniper system. Though it has since been replaced by more modern platforms like the Accuracy International Arctic Warfare series, the M655 remains a notable example of a purpose-built sniper rifle tailored for elite special forces use.
About Marushin M655 Carbine Model Gun
The Marushin M655 Carbine Model Gun is a highly realistic dummy model gun. It features a metal upper receiver with an integrated carry handle (which includes a built-in rear iron sight) and a metal lower receiver engraved with the marking "Col AR-15." The gun is equipped with a polymer 185mm M655 handguard, a 345mm metal outer barrel fitted with a 45mm muzzle brake, and a 250mm polymer fixed stock that includes a sling mount. Additionally, it comes with a polymer pistol grip and a 20-round metal cartridge magazine (pre-loaded with five dummy bullets).
The model also includes finely detailed metal components such as a metal trigger, trigger guard, bolt catch, magazine release, fire selector, and charging handle.
Although this is a non-firing dummy model gun with no actual shooting functionality, it operates just like a real firearm. When you pull the charging handle and press the trigger, the hammer produces a realistic clicking sound. Pulling the charging handle again causes the metal bolt to retract, ejecting the dummy bullet from the magazine (simulating a shell ejection system). The magazine then reloads automatically, allowing you to repeat the process continuously, with dummy bullets ejecting each time?mimicking the action of live firing.
Since this model gun has no firing capability, it is perfectly safe and highly suitable for film props, collectors, and enthusiasts, offering a 100% safety guarantee.
