Sig Sauer has had a storied history of firearms development ever since it was founded in 1853 but formed Sig Air in 2018 following the renaming of Sig Sauer’s airgun division as its purview expanded to also include the sales of airsoft replicas of its famous real steel weapons. Since then Sig Air has rapidly capitalized on the strength of its real steel credentials to partner up with numerous airsoft licensees and manufacturers like Cybergun and VFC to release multiple realistic licensed Sig Sauer airsoft pistols and rifles bearing the licensed Sig airsoft markings. While Sig Air does not produce the popular Sig Sauer airsoft P226 like the Inokatsu SIG SAUER Airsoft P226 (CO2), they do make the Sig P320 airsoft pistol, Sig Sauer M17 airsoft pistol, Sig P229 airsoft pistol and the Sig MCX Virtus airsoft rifle.
