Is GHK a Good Airsoft Company?
Absolutely, GHK have a consistent history of setting ever higher standards of quality with their GBBRs. Their guns are amongst the most realistic guns in the industry built to near exact dimensions with incredibly realistic finishing and details for their externals often being compatible with real steel parts and realistic functioning internals too; furthermore, their guns are also excellent performers with precise accuracy and some of the best reliability of any GBBRs on the market. GHK’s AK platform was amongst the first of its kind and even today its holds up as one of the best GBB AKs you can find, their M4s are also known for their realism and performance with solid performing magazines that almost never leak; not to mention their AUG and 550 series of guns have no GBB equivalent anywhere. Rest assured that your GHK gun is very unlikely to fail you on the field.
Which is the Best GHK Airsoft Gun?
As mentioned previously, GHK make a variety of extremely high quality rifles but if we were to choose one series that stands out it would be their exceptionally realistic AK series of GBBRs. The GHK AK GBBRs which include the GHK AK105, GHK AKM, GHK AK74 and GHK AK74U feature extremely high quality externals and internals that are as close to the real thing as possible in the industry, coupled with their exceptional shooting performance, gas efficiency and solid reliability they stand apart from similar GBB AK platforms in terms of build quality and shooting experience. It is however important to note that GHK still have a variety of other exceptional guns such as the GHK M4 series which are also incredibly well built and performing despite being in a crowded market, as well as their AUG and 550 series of guns that have no GBB equivalent anywhere else.
Why Doesn't GHK Make Pistols?
Not anymore! As of 2021 GHK are the manufacturer of the GHK Glock 17 Gen 3 GBB CNC Steel Slide GBB airsoft gun sold under the Umarex brand. In addition to its CNC steel slide giving it a highly realistic weight, this GHK Glock is exceptional in that it is the first airsoft Glock to feature a realistic internal striker firing mechanism as opposed to the unrealistic internal hammers of every other airsoft glock. This allows the Umarex Glock to be disassembled in a highly realistic manner giving you an unparallel level of immersion when stripping and cleaning it. Furthermore, an often overlooked feature of the Umarex Glock Gen 3 by GHK is that the polymer grip features overmoulding, where instead of the metal components being inserted after moulding the polymer grip, they are inserted before and the polymer moulded on top giving a far greater level of resilience and realism to the Glock’s lower frame.
How Much Does a GHK Airsoft Gun cost?
GHK guns tend to be on the higher end of the cost spectrum, which is understandable when considering their exceptional build quality and excellent shooting performance. On the lower end of the price spectrum, the GHK G5 costs just $300, these increases to $460 for the GHK AUG, $560 for the GHK AK74, $590 for the GHK M4 and $630 for the GHK 551. These prices may be a bit steep for some, but in return you get some of the best quality airsoft guns in the industry as well as a minimal need to ever upgrade your gun.
